The word Atonement does not mean we are being acquitted for what we think is sin or pardoned that we are not held accountable for that sin. That is an English understanding. English did not exist at the time the Bible was written.

It answers the questions: What was the physical action done to remove the sins of the people from the Tabernacle and Temple? Was the Scapegoat Yeshua (Jesus)?
