Torah Life Prison Ministry

This section of Torah Life Ministry is as result of answering "the call," also given in Isaiah 43:19b, which reads "I will make....rivers in the desert." There is no greater desert than a prison and it is the Word of God that creates the oasis in that desert.

While on earth conducting His ministry, Yeshua, the Messiah gave clear teaching in the book of Matthew of the need to visit the prisoners. It is written in Matthew 25:36, 38-39, "...in prison and you visited me'... When did we ever see you sick or in prison, and visit you?' The King will reply, 'I tell you, whenever you did this for one of the least important of these followers of mine, you did it for me."

Presently Torah Life Ministry, provides a weekly Bible study to encourage and educate the staff and inmates housed at the Tomoka Correction Institution in Daytona Beach, Florida. We are experiencing explosive growth among the prison polulation as we get approval to distribute our materials in more and more prisons. Currently, Torah Life Ministry is mailing "The Scribe's Journal" to 315 inmates in 38 prisons and 1 halfway house in 7 states. (Florida, Mississippi, Ohio, Iowa, Kentucky, Texas and Neveda).

We are also attached to another prison ministry (Friend of the Soul) with 14 prisons in Texas. (We share one prison, making the count 32)

As you know, inmates have a lot of time available to read. We are pleased to provide The Scribe's Journal to each prison that we have worked with at no charge to the inmate(s). As inmates transfer, we find that many take these with them, thus increasing the number of prisons and inmates that we will be serving in the future. Torah Life Prison Ministry also supplies knowledgeable Messianic Bible teachers who conduct meetings with the inmate leaders of their congregations. Inmates are taught the basics of the Bible from the Messianic foundation point of view.
