If you have advanced up, not stepped down, the fourth rung is called “Strong Faith”. It is represented by the Menorah in the Holy Place. At this level, you will refuse defeat. You drive home this point through the continuous study of God’s Word, and the word of your testimony, which is your fourth life application.

Who against hope believed in hope [emphasis mine], that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, ‘So shall thy seed be’ And being not weak in faith he considered not [emphasis mine] his own body now dead when he was about a hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb: He staggered not [emphasis mine] at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith [emphasis mine], giving glory to God And being fully persuaded [emphasis mine] that, what he had promised, he was able to perform and therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness” (Romans 4:18-22 KJV).

The Menorah, or candlestick, was a symbol of a person. There is a personal pronoun applied to it. God said in the King James Bible in Exodus 25:31 that the Menorah was to be made from pure gold, along with his shaft, and his branches.

And thou shalt make a candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work shall the candlestick be made: his shaft, and his branches, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, shall be of the same. “

The person it represents is Yeshua the Messiah who said, “I am the Light of the World” (John 9:5).

The golden Menorah stood on the south side of the Tabernacle opposite the Table of Shewbread, with the Altar of Incense closer to the veil. The light of the Menorah was indispensable in the service of the priests. There were no windows provided in the pattern given for the Tabernacle. Not a single ray of light was allowed to come from the outside by the light of nature.

The oil in the Menorah represents the Ruach Hakodesh (Holy Spirit). You are told in Ephesians 4:4 that there is only one Spirit, yet the Scripture speaks of the “seven spirits of God” (Revelation 3:1, 4:5; 5:6).

In Isaiah 11:2, the Scripture states that the Ruach Hakodesh has seven divine attributes that were given to Yeshua in their fullness:
1. The Spirit of the Lord,
2. The Spirit of Wisdom,
3. The Spirit of Understanding,
4. The Spirit of Counsel,
5. The Spirit of Might,
6. The Spirit of Knowledge, and
7. The Spirit of the fear of the Lord.

As you consume God’s Word, you will receive knowledge, understanding, and wisdom. Paul prayed in Ephesians 1:18 that the eyes of your understanding should be open. Light expels darkness, and truth from God’s Word creates light in the human mind. This light is called understanding.

The Menorah was the only source of light by which the priests were to serve in the Tabernacle. This light points to Yeshua. “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105 ASV). The believer is to walk only by the Word of God.

The Menorah was fed by pure olive oil, and it was specially ordered and prepared for God (Exodus 27:20). This oil was also used for the anointing of the priests. The word “Messiah” in Hebrew means, literally “the Anointed One.”

Isaiah 61:1 was the verse Yeshua used to start His ministry and was also said by Peter in his own words. “How God anointed Yeshua from Natzeret with the Ruach Hakodesh and with power; how Yeshua went about doing good and healing all the people oppressed by the adversary because God was with Him” (Acts 10:38 CJB).

The Menorah has seven branches, one center branch with three branches on each side. The center branch, known as “the servant branch,” was used to light the other branches. Yeshua represents the vine, the believers the branches (John 15:5). Also, the flames of the six side branches pointed toward the center branch.

This fourth step on the ladder of trust, called "strong faith", refuses defeat. You stand on this rung, showing your trust, by letting your light shine in testimony.

Ye are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a lamp, and put it under the bushel, but on the stand, and it shineth unto all that are in the house. Even so, let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 5:14-16 ASV).

As the oil of the Ruach Hakodesh feeds the branches of the Menorah, allow God to light the Menorah in your heart. It will let your light shine on the darkness. In addition, it will create a spiritual wildfire in you, burning out everything that hinders the work you were sent to do.

Bring in the light to your walk. You can then go to the fifth rung on the ladder of trust.

Shalom
